B.      Follow the link on left “For Kids”

C.      Click “Be a Junior Ranger” on Left and Read about program

D.      Click link on top Left to Park Home.

E.       Click on Fees and Reservations on Right.

F.       Scroll down and Read about Battlefield Guide Service—that’s what we’re going to do Tuesday morning!

Tuesday April 17, 2012 Fredericksburg, VA

B.      What shall we plan to do for about 2 hours on Tuesday afternoon? A: Go to the Fredericksburg Visitor Center

1.       Read Chamberlain’s reflections about that day and its importance.

2.       Summarize his feelings in a 6 sentence paragraph:

3.       He is summarizing what he did in the war to help his country and how honored and grateful he is to General Grant for promoting him. He was telling them about what he did in Gettysburg and how he was so excited to win the war. He was praying for all of the souls that were lost in the Civil War, and how wonderful the men feel that survived. He was praying for the 1158 men that he lost in battle.



Wednesday April 18, 2012 Drive to Knoxville, TN

A.      Where are we going? To a zoo!!!

B.      Are you excited? Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

C.      Play around on the site and list 3 things you’re looking forward to seeing:

                D. We will spend some time here on Thursday morning and possibly Wednesday afternoon, depending on how well we do on the drive. YAY!

 *Sophie didn't ever quite finish the webquest before we left. In between packing and prepping the car, kids, and house for the trip and Sophie's practice and preparation for the competition, we ended up just talking about the rest of the webquest and concluding that we were going to have so much fun and do and see so many cool things & places!

D.      We’re going to take (depending on weather) and nice 3 mile hike through this part of the park!

E.       Go back to Park Home. Click on Lookout Mountain Battlefield in bottom Right of page.

F.       Read and then write a summary about the importance of this site:
