Weather Log & Weather Poem

January 17, 2012: Weather log

Sophie’s weather log: An inch of snow covering the 6 inches of snow from Thursday’s storm. The temperature is about 30- 27 degrees with steady winds, no rain yet but later today there is supposed to be some. Stratus clouds that are gray and no sun.

WCSH6 weather report: Good morning! This morning a warm front pushed through the region with some light snow that made for some slick walking and driving conditions. Round one will move off to the east and far north. The next round will arrive for late this afternoon and this evening with rain over southern and coastal areas and snow or mixed precipitation elsewhere. (SEE SNOWFALL MAP.) Clearing will arrive in the morning on gusty southwest to westerly winds. Watch out for some icy travel possible early tomorrow morning. It will be dry and very cold again Wednesday night and Thursday. More light snow is possible late Thursday night into Friday morning. The weekend looks mostly dry and chilly. Take it slow and have a great day!

Weather poem:

Snowland!

There is no land, like Snowland! And every land I know,

Does not have as much snow as Snowland!

Because there is no land, like Snowland, and everywhere I go,

Is Snowland, because Snowland is GRAND!

In Snowland, the summer is a bummer,

So I just pretend there is snow,

But there is really no snow in the summer,

Or the weather doesn’t think so!

In Snowland you don’t need precipitation,

To have snow fall to the ground,

All you need is just a little imagination!

And you’ll sleep in a snow bed soft and sound!

If you love snow as much as me,

Snowland is the perfect place for you!

Because if you get cold and hungry,

Eat the snow it has calcium too!

Now there is no land, just like snow land, and every land I know,

Is Snowland to me cause I believe,

That Snowland, is the go land, for everyone I know,

If you truly wish it to be!
