Daily & Weekly Work Summary

Like every new schoolyear, we're still working out our new schedule, goals, and daily schoolwork.
Here's a summary of Sophie typical schoolweek:
Monday-- 7 x7 assigned, due Tuesday.
8:45-9:45  look over all assigned work--Sophie chooses 1 or 2 lessons to complete before we leave for skating.
The workbooks, activities, and other materials needed to complete the 7 x 7 are laid out.
Skating 9:45-12:30 (travel time included) She reads in the car on the way to the rink.

12:30-1:00 lunch
1:00-2:45 more schoolwork. Her goal is to complete at least 3 sections of the 7 x 7 by the end of the day.
3:15 home with Lily--Sophie uses the last bit of schooltime to read or listen to her audiobook.

Tuesday--finish 7 x 7
8:45-9:45 this can be a good time for me to "lecture" or work with Sophie on making sure she's understanding all her subjects and lessons and to see if she has any questions. This morning she did a chapter in her Latin workbook and read aloud in Latin. Then she completed her Language part of her 7 x 7 and then did one page in her Writing workbook.
9:45-12:30 travel & skating--read another chapter in her Teddy Roosevelt bio.
12:30-1:45 read aloud from Roll of Thunder while we ate lunch together. She finished her Writing and Reading parts of 7 x 7.
2:00 Voice lesson at Midcoast School of Music
3:00 Finished 7 x 7 DUE

Wednesday --no skating day!  7 x 7 assigned with new workbook pages, books, and materials
She works all day with some breaks.
She also watched Gypsy today with Bette Midler!
By the end of the day she completed 4 of the 7 parts of her 7 x 7.

Thursday--skating in afternoon, so a chance to get a lot of work done
Worked through most of the morning, then had a nice break to dance and listen to music and get outside. She will finish her second 7 x 7 by the time she leaves for skating @ 2:45.
3:00 Finished 7 x 7 DUE

Friday--7 x 7 assigned--due Monday morning.
8:45-9:45 Goal is to finish at least 2 of the subjects before she leaves for skating.
9:45-12:30 skating--reading in the car on the way there and back--doing workbook work doesn't work as well bc handwriting is pretty messy in the car.
12:30-1:30 lunch & read aloud Roll of Thunder
1:30-2:00 Math lesson from Math & Literature book using Roll of Thunder
2:00-3:15 continue to work on 7 x 7--whatever doesn't get finished by the end of "school" on Friday, she has for "homework" bc it's DUE on Monday morning.

*Next week Sophie will start & Finish her first History project for the unit, which is a Can You Find? book about the Industrial Revolution~
We will also complete our first Science Lab working with the microscope!
