Day 112 Professional Development & Teacher Conference

Since all the rest of the local schools had the day off for parent/teacher conferences as a Professional Development Day and we've had such a busy week with Les Mis rehearsals for Kevin and I over at the Theater Project and extra rehearsal time for Sophie and Lily as they prepare for That's Entertainment, we kinda took the day "off."
Sophie and I watched the movie "The Help" in the afternoon. We recently listened to the audiobook in the car & Sophie really enjoyed the story. The movie is a great adaptation and we both liked it a lot.
Sophie has worked very hard on this unit--like she always does--and she has skated hard and worked hard preparing for her MSMT audition this coming weekend. We are so proud of her and how smart and kind and mature and sweet-natured and responsible she is--every day is a joy to be her teacher and to spend with her!

She is finishing her reviews and her final projects for Unit 2 and we begin Unit 3 next week on Day 118.
