Disney World 7 x 7

Disney 7x7 = 2 days

Magic Kingdom Park:

1. I learned that the way of the construction to the entrance around Magic Kingdom Park is therefore a reason; the Transportation and ticket center is across the lake and so far away because when you get to the entrance you feel like you’re out of the outside world and in to the world of the Magic Kingdom

2. I learned that during the construction of Magic Kingdom Walt died and the company had lost its leader and visionary, and so Walt’s brother Roy took over on the construction of Magic Kingdom.

3. I learned that Magic Kingdom and Disneyland area lot alike, however they are quite different as well. Both parks feature a train around the perimeter, a castle in the middle, Main Street U.S.A, Fantasyland, Tommorowland, Froteirland, and Adventureland.

4. Walt placed Magic Kingdom where it is on purpose , so that the entryway wasn’t full of tourist shops and motels like Disneyland was, that really bothered Walt, and that’s why he placed Magic Kingdom far away from the city of Orlando, so that guests could feel like they were truly away from the outside world.

5. I learned that the Magic Kingdom Park covers approximately 120 acres.

6. Magic Kingdom Park is the most visited park in all of Walt Disney World.

7. Walt called their idea of Walt Disney World, “The Florida Project” and kept it a secret for many years.

Main Street U.S.A

1. Main Street U.S.A Walt Disney World is based on Walt’s hometown Main Street at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution. Light bulbs were just invented, and movies were huge! That’s why the tunnels under the railroad station have movie commercials in them for the rides, because those tunnels are known as the “Theater Entrance.”

2. I learned that on the windows of the buildings on main Street U.S.A there are the company offices with names that pay tribute to many of Disney’s most famous imaganeers.

3. I learned that at the Main Street Fir Station, firefighters from all over the world leave their badge after a visit and it is put up on the wall of the Main Street U.S.A fire station.

4. I learned that the Walt Disney and Roy Disney statues on Main Street are positioned such for a reason; Walt is positioned like the visionary, the hero holding Mickey’s hand and pointing in to the future.

5. Roy’s statue is sitting on a park bench with Minnie next to him meaning his trying to be the background to realize his brother’s vision.

6. The bright red sidewalks in town square were chose to reflect the green grass since both colors are opposite on the color wheel.

7. The show windows by the emporium are placed lower to the ground than historically correct, but Walt wanted Children to be able to see inside of them.

Adventureland:

1. I learned that in the first design of the Jungle cruise, there were supposed to be live animals.

2. I learned that the Pirates of the Caribbean ride was not part of the Opening day of magic Kingdom. But overwhelming guest requests prevailed, and it made its appearance in 1973 It became one of the most popular attractions in the park.

3. The Auctioneer is voiced by Paul Frees the ghost host at the Haunted Mansion and the narrator for the Hall of Presidents.

4. The Enchanted Tiki room show opened in 1971.

5. Aladdin’s flying carpet ride was added to adventure land in 2001.

6. Big thunder Mountain rises 197 feet in the air.

7. The height check stick at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is made of old railroad parts.

Liberty Square

1. The shutters on the windows in Liberty Square hang at an angle, because in colonial times, the upper hinges tended to be made of leather straps in order to conserve metal, this made them tilt to one side a quality Disney mimicked even though theirs are made of metal.

2. I learned that the Haunted Mansion is the only attraction to be featured in a different land of the four Magic kingdoms Parks World Wide. Disneyland: New Orleans Square, Magic Kingdom, Liberty Square, Tokyo Disneyland, fantasyland, and Disneyland Paris, Frontierland

3. Liberty Square by Haunted Mansion is based on New York up by the Hudson river in the 1700s, The Columbia Harbour House and town square is based on Boston mid-1700s, and the Hall of Presidents is based on Philadelphia late 1700s.

4. The transition from Libery Square to Frontierland goes from the early 1700s, to mid 1700s, to late 1700s, then to Goofy’s Jamboree in St. Louis early 1800s, Then to Colorado’s Rockies by the Country bear Jamboree in the mid 1800s, And the Splash Mountain as a 1870’s, traveling South a little bit, and then back up in to the Wild west for Big Thunder Mountain, the transition between both lands is appropriate and very clever,

5. On a window on the second floor of the Hall of Presidents facing toward the Haunted Mansion, there are two small candles. They are placed there to signify Paul Revere’s “One if by land, Two if by sea” I guess it’s by sea!

6. I learned that the Lincoln figure in the Hall of Presidents is capable of 47 different functions.
